In sixth grade social studies, we study South America and Europe. In this project, students will design a newscast for our Western 6 News show. The topic of the newscast is designed to be an overview of a selected South American country. The newscast can be accessed by a web site that has a feed to which individuals can subscribe. The web site contains the North Carolina Standard Course of Study objectives for the unit along with task lists for teachers and students.
